Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card Review- 20,000 Air Miles Bonus, $500 Referral Bonus, Earn 1.25X for Everything

Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card

Travelling the world can be a little easier than you think when you have the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card in your wallet.

The Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card is a travel rewards credit card which allows you to collect air mile points every time you spend. You can then redeem these points to travel all over the world.

I've used this card to go on some very nice holidays and the beauty of it was it's all free. It takes no time at all to collect the points especially if you take advantage of the introductory bonus on offer.

In short, if you love travelling for less this is a travel reward credit card you need in your back pocket.

In this guide, I'll be sharing my personal experience of this card, the highlights of the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card and how I have maximized the points to travel all over the world.

I'll also be answering frequently asked questions on the VentureOne.

Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card Highlights

There is much to love about the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card. If you are serious about travelling the world using air miles from travel rewards credit card you need to know how to collect as many points as possible.

Fortunately, the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card has one of the best introductory bonus and some pretty good features to whet your appetite.

Highlight 1: Incredibly, Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card is offering 20,000 air miles once you spend $1000 within 3 months of opening the account.

To put this in context, this is equivalent to $200 in travel money which could translate into a short return ticket somewhere.

Highlight 2: Unlike many other travel reward program, the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card has no annual fee and no foreign transaction fees.

You are free to roam the world and spend without worrying about nasty exchange rate fees. Aaaahhhh.

Highlight 3: Although not as generous as other travel reward programs, the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card offers 1.25X miles of every purchase, every day.

There are no restrictions on what you have to spend on and there is no limit to how many points you can collect. This travel rewards credit card is perfect for those who want a simple program.

Highlight 4: The VentureOne rewards credit card allows you to book tickets whenever you want.

There are no annoying blackout dates and you can use any airline, hotel, anytime. Just makes travel a little simpler.

Highlight 5: This is my best feature, the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card allows you to transfer your miles to 12 other travel loyalty programs.

Quite often, you can boost the air miles when your transfer which means you can go a little further when you travel.

Highlight 6: Gone are the days when air miles expire. The VentureOne Rewards Card provides air mile points which never expire as long as you keep your credit card account open.

There is a lot to like about the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card, this card will appeal to those who like a flat based rewards program where simplicity is at its core.

The introductory bonus is the best around because you just have to spend $1000 do get $200 in travel money, this is one of the best in the market.

Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card FICO

The VentureOne Rewards is one of the best travel rewards credit card and is very sought after. It even comes in metal making it a very desirable card.

When you combine the excellent benefits and high demand for this card you will inevitably have to have a high credit score to be approved of this credit card.

The FICO score required to apply for the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card is 700+. You will need Good credit or above.

I always say aim for 750 FICO points when you apply for the VentureOne Credit Card so you are certain of approval, there is no reason to waste an inquiry and get declined.

You should also go through your credit report thoroughly to ensure there are no nasty surprises in store and make sure your credit utilisation ratio is low, no more than 30% should do the trick.

Many fall short of applying for this card, at the beginning I wasn't even close to applying for this card. It took me 9 months to build my credit above a FICO score of 750 so it is possible.

Take it easy, slowly build your credit and you will soon start to see doors of opportunities opening.

Maximizing Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card

I must confess I like to maximize the rewards on all travel rewards credit card. You won't believe the strategies people use over on Reddit and NerdWalltet.com to make their air miles go further.

Don't just be content with the points provided, have a strategy to milk the system dry so you can collect more points and travel to far away destinations.

I wanted to share some of the strategies I have used to collect more points and travel money.

By using these strategies to maximise travel rewards you will be able to collect air miles quickly.

Strategy 1: I know I'm stating the obvious, however, many people don't do this! Make sure you take advantage of the introductory offer because it is the quickest way to collect air miles.

The Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card is offering $200 in travel money in the form of 20,000 air mile points, all you have to do is spend $1000 in the first 3 months. Make sure you do this.

Suppose you and your partner are planning a holiday, if you both apply for the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card and spend $1000 each on normal expenses you will have 40,000 under the belt already!

Strategy 2: This is a rather complex strategy but definitely worth pursuing. You can transfer points collected from the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card and transfer to other travel loyalty programs.

Sometimes you can boost these points so 20,000 points becomes 30,000. This is a very quick way to collect more air miles.

Continuing on from our example, suppose you and your partner boost your points from 20,000 to 30,000 by transferring the points through various loyalty programs you will have collected a combined 60,000 points which is $600 in travel rewards.

Strategy 3: The Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card referral program is very lucrative. You get $100 for every successful application and you can earn $500 a year maximum. You really need to take advantage of this excellent offer.

Suppose you and your partner can both refer 5 successful applicants you will bag a combined $1000 every year which would make a nice pot of travel money. So simple and effective I love it.

Strategy 4: A very simple but overlooked strategy is to hide all your other existing debit cards and vow never to use card again.

Your only means of spending should be through the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card or other travel rewards credit card. You will be surprised how many air miles you will collect using this strategy alone.

Strategy 5: Spend money for other people! I know it sound crazy but hear me out. If someone you know and trust has a large expense ask them to give you the cash and you will put the purchase through the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card.

You will benefit from the air miles collected and they will benefit from the protection of purchasing with a credit card which is often extended warranties. This really works when you explain it to people! Just make sure they pay you!

I've just scratched the surface, there are more advanced strategies to milk even more money from travel rewards program.

To start just concentrate on the strategies mentioned above and soon you'll naturally progress to more advanced strategies.
